Brown V the Board of Education is a famous case that discusses whether or not "separate but equal" is unconstitutional and ultimately decided that segregated schools were not equal. Below are the arguments of each side which were presented during the mock trial.

Feminazis : Arguing for Brown

The feminizes argued that segregated schools were unconstitutional for many reasons. The main thing that they talked about was the differences between white and black schools. I was shocked to hear that African American schools did not offer lunch to the students and often did not have running water or electricity. One person on this team pointed out that black schools only receive 60% of the funding for education in comparison to what the white schools receive, this is a pretty large gap in terms of funding a Childs education. The feminazis discussed the favoritism that was shown to white people and also involved religion in their argument against the school board. They argued that we are all created in Christ's image and we are all equal in his eyes so we should all be granted equal opportunities and privileges; Galatians 3:28 talks about how we are all the equal to God.

A very important part of the Feminazis argument involved precedence in court cases. Murray V Maryland was a court case that involved an African American student who was deferred from a university solely to his color. In 1936 the State of Maryland voted in favor of Murray and required that the university admit him to their Law program.

Another group in class presented the side of the Board of Education of Topeka in a pro segregation sense

The largest argument made for this side basically talked about how whites and blacks have been segregated since the very beginning of the slave trade, 1607. It is pointed out that there are many differences between black and white people and that if they are integrated together, it might result in a great deal of violence; not only does this happen between blacks and whites but also between other races. One of the arguments was that made was that segregation happens naturally and that even if we force blacks and whites to go to school together, they will still naturally stray away from each other. It was also pointed out that the schools are thriving while segregated and that integrating them will only cause problems, and will likely cause uproar from parents.
